This has got to be one of the best microphones available for kids! It is professional more than it is a toy. It has a universal Microphone cord that will plug into most karaoke, cd players ; amplifiers. Don't confuse this plug with the headphone plug, it has to go into the microphone input plug! We get a great sound from this microphone and my daughter loves rocking it out with the stand and the lit up my microphone! The sound is awesome, but the quality is going to depend the most on what you have it plugged into

Very unhappy that the cord that comes with the microphone does not fit our cd player. It looks like a lot of fun and my daughters, 7 and 4, play with it, but I'm very disappointed that we cannot use it without buying something else! Now I'm having a difficult time finding a compatible karaoke machine or amplifier that is not really expensive. I definitely would have bought a different microphone or just skipped it!Check what your cd player plug-in looks like before buying!
